When we started FOURGE, it wasn’t just about epic BBQ, next-level rubs, or making noise at events (though we do all that). It was about doing something that actually matters. Something that connects. Something that gives back.
BBQ lit something in us. It pulled us out of routines, gave us purpose, built friendships, and made us feel part of something bigger. For each of us, it started with a spark — and now, through FOURGE, we’re making sure others get the chance to feel that same fire.
What is ‘Pass the Flame’?
It’s our way of giving back to the UK BBQ community — the very community that shaped who we are.
Every time someone buys from FOURGE — whether it’s a rub, a hoodie, a sauce or a cap — we set aside a cut of that sale. That money goes into a fund we use to build and send outdoor cooking starter packs to people across the UK who just need a little help to get going.
For some, it’s tools. For others, it’s inspiration. But for all of them, it’s the start of something.
We don’t just want to serve food. We want to light fires. Literally and figuratively.
Who Do We Help?
We don’t pick names at random (well, sometimes, we do — more on that later). This isn’t a gimmick. This is about deliberately investing in people — in their lives, their passions, their growth.

1. New Starters
Young people, first-timers, or anyone who shows that spark but lacks the gear. These are the folks ready to learn, ready to try, and just need a little nudge.
2. Rebuilders
People going through change. Maybe they’ve had a tough time. Maybe they’re starting fresh. BBQ has a funny way of grounding people — and we’re here to help them rebuild.
3. Community Heroes
We look out for those who already give so much — people feeding others, running community kitchens, youth centres, or support groups. They’re already serving — we just help them serve better.

Every now and then, we’ll pull a name straight from our newsletter subscriber list and drop a full starter pack on their doorstep.
